Bio:Arthur X. Dong, Partner of Beijing Lantai Partners, specializes in international dispute resolution practice, in particular for the insurance, foreign investment and international trade, etc. Arthur has substantial experience of working for transnational enterprises on behalf of which he negotiated with the counterparts and settled disputes in the United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, Belgium, India, Czech, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Regarding to the insurance area, Arthur is among the few pioneer attorneys in China who has experience in handling D&O insurance cases. Arthur is industrious to have done a lot of research on the potential Chinese D&O insurance markets and exchanged opinions with foreign and domestic experts. Furthermore, Arthur has handled more than 10 contentious cases related to the insurance issues in the process of the cross-border sale of goods.
Arthur achieved his Master degree in international economic law in the Temple University, Philadelphia, and his Doctor degree in international law in the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Arthur is a certified arbitrator at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), a mediator of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Mediation Center, and has membership of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. Arthur is also invited as a guest professor of the graduate school of CUPL.
Arthur has been admitted to practice as an attorney in P.R.C. since 1996.
